1. Men are superficial - at first
While we're big advocates of inner beauty and acting natural, let's be real: you need to have something that will catch a guy's eye in the first place. When we asked David what Singaporean men want in a woman, he admitted that men can be a little shallow.

"On an individual basis, guys want lots of different things, but universally, they want an attractive woman," David told us. She doesn't need to be a smoking hot model, but she does need to put some effort into her appearance - groomed body hair, physical fitness level, and good fashion sense all reflect a woman's ability to take care of herself.

"It's that much more important for women because men are so superficial, especially when they're young," David says. "But the older a guy gets, the more interesting he becomes."
