Marrying you to play mom to his kids is fine and dandy if he treats you like wife and woman. But if he’s eyeing you as co-payer to broker his existing mortgage, ask yourself if he’s in love with you or your paycheck. If you suspect he’s marrying you to be part of your inner financial circle and to subsidize his life, rethink his proposal. Love is grand but divorce is always sour. Don’t lose your family fortune to an emotionally empty vessel who wasn’t “so in love” in the first place and may leave you to gold dig another.
