3. You’re embarrassed by failure

Breaking up can be a little embarrassing when the people in your life expect you to settle down and get serious. It’s even worse when they’re all married and having kids. You feel stupid for failing at yet another relationship, and at having to start over at square one while everyone’s moving ahead. Even though you feel like a disappointment, know that the people who are closest to you – and the ones who matter the most – were probably already aware that the relationship wasn’t making you happy.

If anything, they would be more disappointed if you staked your future in somebody who wasn’t worth the commitment.
