4. Make sure you’re not the only one compromising

Go on, look into the mirror. Still recognize the person staring back at you? There’s a razor thin line between compromising on issues versus compromising yourself. When you reach a stage where dialogues stop and you can’t even voice an opinion without him putting you down, you’ve lost yourself. Don’t go there.  When a person has stopped loving you, compromising becomes a futile exercise at reconciliation. You can’t force someone to be with you against their will.
