When the "it's not you, it's me" blinding light barges into the relationship, there's no easy or pain-free way to exit the love highway. Whether it's you or your partner that's contributed to the unhappy days and one of you finally decides that life apart is better than your hell together, it's time for the "talk."

But you don't have to pull out all the rude stops and rub dirt in their face just because you don't want to be with your boo anymore. Have a heart. Be a little empathetic and they'll respect you for it (even if you don't care either way). More importantly, do it in a way that assures there'll be no revenge stalking on their part anytime soon.
