Widen your circle of opportunity and don't rule out anyone just because they're not wearing, for example, the "right" fashion, etc. By keeping an open mind at singles events you're more likely to collect a number of phone numbers than to go home empty handed. And with so many people worried about Valentine's, take the opposite approach and drop your usual checklist of what someone "has to be like" and just enjoy yourself.
