Yes, girls, we know you think your hunkalicious other-half is “yummy”, but that’s not what we’re talking about today.
Recently, bank giant HSBC – or rather, three of their researchers – coined the term “Yummy” for a new group of luxury retail target consumers: the Young Urban Male.
This label is a redefinition of the “metrosexual”, also used to describe an XY-chromosome being who is very particular about his image and appearance (not to be confused with homosexuals – being sartorially meticulous isn’t just for dudes who swing the other way). However, Yummies are perceived as more “mainstream” and “a commercial reality”, at least according to said researchers, and are strictly in their twenties.
So, now that you’re acquainted with the term, read through to see if your man fits the bill. (And if he does, bring him on an intense shopping extravaganza you’ll both love.)
