His chromosomal rhythm intuitively dictates he demonstrates interest and attachment one moment then withdraws and the cycle repeats itself regularly (oh yes!). And possibly nothing, except some fictional asteroid hurling shiny green radioactive material from the planet of Green Lantern, can miraculously alter their genetic code.
