10 email mistakes that could get you fired

1. Using your company email for personal use
Funny forwards seem like a thing of the past, but at companies that block Facebook and Twitter, they're vital for keeping employees entertained. But in 2009, that bit of amusement ended up costing two PNC bank employees big time after they began circulating a picture of Hillary Clinton's head photoshopped on top of the torso of a topless woman. Although the company had a "no using company email for personal messages" policy, two employees insisted that the policy meant nothing since it usually wasn't enforced. According to CBS News, they ended up filing a lawsuit against the bank, citing "wrongful termination" as their complaint.
Sounds like a whole lot of trouble could have been saved just by hitting "delete" instead of "forward," so if you really MUST forward that hilarious 9gag photo to your colleague, use your personal account instead.
